Why I know I'll be reaching for the tissues for Supernatural's Season Finale tomorrow.

Well, it has been five years of loyal fan dedication and following, and now it is finally paying off.
Tomorrow night is Supernatural's Season Five Season Finale, and I have a few predictions and feelings about it.
It all started off with a big revelation in the Season Four Finale. The Yellow-Eyed Demon aka Azazel, aka YED found a door to Hell. From there he was able to talk to Lucifer. This happened in the year 1972, one year before he met John and Mary, Sam and Dean's parents, and eleven years before Sam's birth.
Lucifer was then able to give the YED these instructions: to free him from Hell, he must first free Lilith, and then find him a special child(cough, cough Sam.) All of this information told the very few obsessed fans several things, which I won't spend your time talking about.
Now fast forward years later: it's May 13, 2010 and now we have found out even more. To bring the Apocalypse to it's final point, we have found out that Dean is the Arc Angel Michael's Vessel, and that Sam is....gasp! Lucifer's.
So now, Sam has decided to say "Yes." to Lucifer. (For an Angel to possess a body in the show, they need permission from the host.)
Sam's plan is a crazy one, and one that doesn't seem like it's going to work. He wants to take control of his body with Lucifer still inside of him and jump back into the pit, therefore sealing the Devil himself back in Hell. .....I'm not sure what I think of this plan.
What I really wanted was for Dean to accept as well and see a big brother/angel/devil showdown. But the show has been picked up for another season, which was not in the original plan of the story, so I guess things had to be changed.
OK, onto what I think will happen.
The people involved in the show are promising a beloved character death...jeesh it's not like we haven't had enough of those this season. ie Joe, Ellen, and our ever favorite angel/trickster Gabriel.
This leaves only two characters that they could possibly gank: either Castiel or Bobby.
I have been going in my head over and over about who would be more likely to die, and I can't pick one over the other. I do have a preference though, I would happily, OK, not happily...more like begrudgingly see Bobby go instead of Cas. Bobby is old, tired, and grumpy, he is crippled, thanks to a demon possessing him in 5-01 Sympathy for the Devil, and has now had to kill his wife twice. Huh, that makes for a horrible year. If anything, I think, like Ellen and Joe, he will sacrifice himself.
I can see much more material being pulled for Cas than I can with Bobby. Plus, who doesn't love an angel that thinks in very literal terms, and speaks with such blunt honesty, that he doesn't even realize what he's saying. OK, you caught me, I'm Team Castiel all the way. lol
But here is where the worst part of the episode will come...I know, how can it possibly get any worse?
From the preview, I can see that Dean and...sob...the Impala are going to be taking a major beating. Sera Gamble, the Exec. Producer and Head Writer said that the famous Metallicar is going to play a big part in this episode, so it will be interesting to see what will become of Dean's baby.
When I said I wanted to see a showdown, I didn't mean Sam vs Dean, I meant angels and demons. Seeing Sam rip apart his brother is going to be painful...but they have been building up to it for about two and a half seasons now, and it might bring some peace to the brothers.
Sam and Dean have always had some excuse to their battles, "Oh, the Siren made me do it." Or, "Ruby isn't a bad demon, give her a chance." Anyways, they have always had some sort of excuse, but now, it's going to be full on Sam and Dean.
Anyways, I know that this is going to be gut wrenching and you can tune into my reactions to the episode on Friday...or whenever I get out of my post-Supernatural Season Five funk enough to talk about it.
Tune in for yourself if you want. Thursday, 9 o'clock pm, on The CW.
Here's the promo for Supernatural, Season Five, Episode 22: Swan Song.
