Here's to next year.

Most of my football fandom life has been used to under performance. I have been a lifelong Beaver Believer and an even longer Bronco fan.

I know, I know the Broncos had a two streak Super Bowl win in the late 90's, but I wasn't even 10 yet. So that doesn't really count. For the majority of my serious fandom, the Broncos have been losers. The last time they even had a shot at the playoffs was in 2005. To put that in perspective, when I had my wires tightened, I had them changed to the good old Orange and Blue. That was a long time ago.

So I wasn't surprised when reading my NFL App, and they had an article listing the team rankings, that the Broncos were third from the bottom. Just above the Dolphins and the fallen from grace Colts.
In fact, I shared the article on my Facebook, "Well, I'm rooting for the Packers this year!" Said my tagline. My mom is a Packer fan, and we all root for each other's teams in our family.

Boy, was I pleasantly surprised by the end of this season! I have a feeling that many Bronco fans, or Tebow Believers are disappointed. But I'm not! We came shooting out of our 6th game with a huge win, and with Tebow's starting game. There was no way I thought we were going to the playoffs, let alone make it to the second round with a real, history making overtime finish.

So I say to you Tebow: Don't listen to the moans and groans, because we should be grateful for what you were able to do with an otherwise crapper of a season. I should be thanking you for the hope and anticipation I have for the next preseason. This was your first season as a starter, and you only played the last half of the season. Are there things that need work? Yes. Run the ball less, or run it yourself. We need to work on the the offensive line. Don't drop the ball! If you feel in danger of a fumble, for the love of Pete, fall down on it! I can't wait to see what Tebow has in store with a summer practice and a whole season under your belt.

So I raise my glass to you Tebow, for giving us an explosion of an awesome season end!

Happy New Year!

It feels so odd to be writing this on the first day of the year 2012. I sit here wondering where the heck 2011 went. It has been a roller coaster year for sure and I feel that I have also changed and grown. In some ways I'm still the same giggly girl who gets excited for movies and TV shows, but I also feel that I'm more mature. I have been paying bills, dealing with issues such as Financial Aid, and teachers messing up my grades. In fact, I feel I have overcome so many things all by myself in the last 6 months, that I feel the universe is preparing me for something. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing....LOL

Anyways, it also feels very melancholy to be writing this, the tree has just left the building and the cheerful stockings have been taken down. I can't believe another holiday season has passed us and this is the LAST week of the regular season of football. Sigh, good things go fast. LOL

Well, all in all, I want to say-regardless of this year's downs- this year has had some awesome ups, making it a really good one. I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store, and I can't wait to see where I'll be this time next year.

And one last note, GO Broncos!
