Supernatural S6 E9: "Clap if you Believe..."

I never thought I would see the day that Supernatural would ever do an episode about faeries. LOL
But I should have known, that with Ben Edlund as the writer of this episode, he also wrote "Monster Movie." That I should have nothing to worry about. Because it was one of the funniest episodes in a long time.

Uh, Dean...he's not a fairy...

I have been waiting a long time for Supernatural to finally do something along the lines of an X-Files episode, and this was the one they decided to spoof it with. It actually really worked out well.
The town seemed to be suffering from some alien abductions, and that is what led to this special opening.

"The truth is in there..." ugh...lol

So the boys start interrogating witnesses and such, and one lady who was just a few cats short of being a cat lady, didn't believe it was aliens, but faeries.
Of course the boys laughed it off. Sam was more mean though, since he still doesn't have his soul and all.
Dean investigates the site of the last "abduction" and low and behold, he gets abducted himself!
Sam doesn't worry too much though, because he doesn't care, you know, cause he has no soul. Ok, you think me mentioning this over and over is annoying? The writers seem to be beating us over the head with this fact, we're not stupid guys!
Dean does his Dean thing and blasts his way out with his gun and knife.
Now Dean can see all the fairy folk. I wonder if this will come to play later?
This leads up to a hilarious scene in a hotel where Dean microwaves Tinkerbell. It was hilarious! I know, I'm sick.
So we find out that the local watchmaker made a deal with the faeries because he can't make watches anymore, so now they want to take all the firstborn sons.
Robert Picardo guest stars in this one. I was pleasantly surprised to see him in this episode, he brought back some fond Star Trek memories.
Anyways, he played the leprechaun that made the deal, and told Sam that he could get his soul back for him. But Sam refuses, haha, he dumps some salt in front of him and the leprechaun has to count it. That was a funnier scene also.
All in all, this episode could have been really bad, but it was great. Keep up the good work!
Next week's episode, Meg is back! And oh no, it seems there's more teaming up with demons. These boys just can't escape!

No new episodes next week, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Supernatural S6 E8: "All Dogs go to Heaven."

After last week's episode, when we found out that Sam doesn't have a soul, you'd think that the boys would be doing all they could to wrangle it back. But, they can't. Cause Crowley is holding the reins and forcing the boys to do his dirty work for him.
In this episode, it appears that there seems to be some werewolf attacks going on in the neighborhood, and Crowley hopes the Alpha werewolf is doing all the heart eating. Why does Crowley think there's an Alpha here? Cause it's not the full moon. It's only half waxed. LOL.
But, it turns out that these aren't werewolves at all, nope, it's Skin-walkers!

Lucky the dog isn't quite who you think he is...

Wait, aren't those the same things as Shape-shifters?
In Supernatural-land, I guess not.
These guys turns themselves into dogs, get adopted, and then, when the signal is given, bite their owners and turn them into Skin-walkers.
Huh, kinda sounds like a Vampire plan we heard about earlier on...

Anyways, of course the boys kill all the Skin-walkers before it can happen, and one of the Fidos reveals himself to his family...
Shiver...I don't even want to think about Sailor being some creepy dude.
Oh well. At least he's neutered. LOL
But you do end up feeling sorry for him, and seeing him walk off as a dog was kinda sad.
I liked this episode, it wasn't the most action packed, or such a nail biter, but still fun.

The one that aired just last Friday, was "Clap if you Believe..." it's all about faeries people!

You fight those faeries Dean!

UGH! Supernatural S6 Ep7: "Family Matters."

So I am two episodes behind.
But that really doesn't matter since I write these more for myself, because I'm pretty sure that on one else reads these. ....hello? Anyone there? lol

Anyways, so my last week has been very hectic, and if there's anything that will kill my Supernatural buzz, it's math. But that was last post, time to move on.

Dean following a trail of beheaded vamps in "Family Matters."

So, in the previous episode, "You Can't Handle the Truth," Dean finally finds out something he has suspected all along, there is something wrong with Sam.

And in this episode, we learn exactly what that is, Sam has no soul. GASP! I guess, really I was hoping it would be something more interesting than that. Everyone else had pretty much guessed that already, but I guess the writers have something interesting up their sleeves for us later on.
Once that revelation is made by Castiel, we instantly travel over to G-pa Campbell and find out that his soul fine and dandy in its place, with G-Pa Campbell.
But we all know that there is still something wrong with him, and that he's hiding something from our boys. But right now, they're trying to capture the Alpha Vampire. Why? We don't know yet. Just that the boys have to go along with it.
Dean trusts no one, and Sam is just killing things that get in his way. Of course he has the whole "I have no soul" excuse, which just gets annoying after awhile. But what can you do?
So, using the GPS on G-Pa's cell, they follow him to where he's holding the Alpha Vamp.
He's a really cool, creepy old black dude, and I want to learn more about him.
He's being "tortured" by G-Pa, only he seems too strong and old for anything to work on him. Frustrated, Samuel leaves and the Alpha calls the boys in. (of course he knew he was there!) We find out from the Alpha Vamp that all of them bad creatures, when they die, go to Purgatory, and Samuel wants to know where that is.
Of course the Vamp escapes, enter some demons that were lurking about, they catch him and take him away, and Crowely makes an appearance.
He reveals that he revived Samuel and Sam, and that he's holding onto Sam's soul(which is still in the cage btw) until the boys can wrangle up all the Alphas. Huh, I guess it's too bad they already gave Crowley his bones back...lol And it turns out, that Samuel knew all of this all along! How rude of him not to divulge this information sooner...lol
All in all, a decent episode, very, very informative, but I always enjoy those.

Here's a preview of the already aired 8th episode, "All Dogs go to Heaven."
PS, Dean looks sexy with that sniper rifle. lol

Tired...

If anyone knows me at all, they know that math was never my forte. In fact, if anything, math was one of my major weaknesses. If there is anything that brings fear, self-loathing, self-doubt, and just plain anger to my mind, it's math.
Now many, many hurdles have been taken down as far as learning math goes. I've learned to slow down, and just do what I know, and take it from there. But, I still have a long way to go, especially with the level of math that I'm trying to learn right now. Which is Calculus, and let me say right here, right now, that not in any of my years as a student, would I have ever seen myself even attempting Calculus, which in of itself is a huge accomplishment.
But there comes a time, and I can feel mine sneaking up right now, that you hit a breaking point. I have retaken classes, I have attended every extra study session, and tutor sessions possible, and of course all of those have put where I am right now. But, it's beginning to feel like nothing will help me ever completely "get" this subject.
And that is what makes me feel extremely tired, and wonder if I have my priorities straight. I am going through a period of wondering whether a Science Degree is for me. As much as I want one, and as much as I have believed ever since I was a kid that-that is what I was going to do with my life; I'm beginning to think that I'm hitting my limitations.
And what really pisses me off, is that this is the only area that is holding me back. This...one...little...subject.
I have never felt so mentally tired in my life. Sure my junior year of high school was no picnic either...but, I guess I'm just sick of feeling there's more that I could be doing, when really I have no idea what else I could do! Except retake the class, which, is going to be what I need to do.
I have always wondered what I was really good at, and I usually come up with two things: working with animals, and art.
And those two things really have nothing to do with each other...LOL
Maybe an art major is really what I'm meant to do, being a Graphic Designer has always intrigued me, and maybe that will be something I will keep on the back burner for now.
But right now, I'm not going to quit until I have done everything possible to get by math.
Here's to stupid determination. LOL
OK, so this was probably really depressing. But it feels good to unload it.

Supernatural S6 E6: "You can't Handle the Truth."

I have mixed feelings about this episode. As far as it was critically, it was captivating. But, I miss my boys. They aren't the same brothers that they were in the seasons past. Curse you Ruby!
But this needed to be done. For the show to continue, the brother's relationship needs to be shaken up. We've done the whole, "I've got your back," thing already. Their relationships needs to be on the rocks. It's what makes the show interesting. LOL, this is Supernatural's version of Ross and Rachel. No one will watch if everything is dandy.

OK, so this episode was all about the truth. People were committing suicide, seemingly out of nowhere. It turns out that they were wanting the truth, and well, getting it. Until they killed themselves from grief.

Sam was the only one impervious to this truth thing, and boldly lied to Dean. To his face! I was shouting at the computer that he was lying. I think my parents were annoyed. lol.
Anyways, it turned out that a goddess of truth was in town, and even she couldn't get Sam to tell the truth, and she knew he wasn't human. GASP! Sam isn't human?! Well, actually, I think we've known this since the second season when we saw Azazel, AKA the YED, bleed into Sam's mouth when he was a baby.

Anyways, so after the goddess is killed, Sam comes clean, he says, "Oh, I knew we could turn you back to human Dean. Don't sweat it. Plus, since I'm different, I'm, like, the best hunter ever! Blah, blah, blah."

In the end, Dean gives Sam a well deserved, all be it sad, pounding.

Ok, in the next episode we find out that Sam has no soul. Hm...interesting.
