Supernatural S6 E3: "The Third Man."

Ok, so I watched the latest episode on Saturday, and this is my review.

Three words: "Cas is back!"

So, I think that Supernatural has finally gotten back on its feet since Kripke left the helm. That last episode had everything, humor, drama, and really bad things happening to normal people.

So, Sam and Dean are investigating a mysterious death, a cop just turned to blood. Weird. When Castiel shows up and tell the brothers that the staff of Moses has been missing since the apocalypse had been derailed.
Of course Dean just has to make a Chuck Heston joke. The brothers then wonder why they have to help Castiel since he has been AWOL for a year, and here Cas gives a very convincing and funny argument. Who knew the guy could keep his humor after being a "celestial light" for a year.
So, we also find out that Heaven is having a virtual civil war, the archangel Raphael, or as Dean calls him, "The Super Ninja Turtle Angel," wants his angels to reload the apocalypse. So the civil is between his angels and the angels that don't want the apocalypse to happen.
As the episode commences, two more people die in awfully weird Supernautrally ways.
We meet another angel, Balthazar, who had stolen the items, and a piece of salt that turned Raphael's vessel to salt.
It was a great episode, and I am soooo looking forward to Jensen's directorial debut next week.

Preview for "Weekend at Bobby's."
